1. Review the anatomy/embryology of omphalocele
2. Describe the diagnostic approach and delivery room and NICU management of omphalocele
4. Review current trends in prognosis and morbidity of omphalocele

Neonatal-Perinatal Fellow, Thomas Jefferson University/Christiana Care/A. I. DuPont Hospital for Children

Dr. Johnna R. Mahoney is a second-year neonatal-perinatal medicine fellow at Thomas Jefferson University/Christiana Care/A. I. DuPont Hospital for Children. She earned her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, and completed her pediatric residency training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. During fellowship she has developed an interest in quality improvement, and her research interests include transfusion practices and humidity usage. She is passionate about medical history and is always willing to talk your ear off about genetic syndromes. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, reading mystery novels, cooking with her husband TJ, and Penn State football.
