About

NICU Grad Birth Story

The NICU can be an intimidating place – not only for the patients and families – but also for trainees from students to NICU fellows. I certainly felt that way during my 1st year of neonatal-perinatal fellowship. Trying to piece together all the physiology, pathology, and evidence to take care of the sickest babies was overwhelming.

And I quickly realized, I was not alone. And so the idea of the NICU Grad Podcast was born. My goal is to provide concise, easily accessible and high-quality learning for common clinical scenarios seen in the NICU. The NICU Grad Podcast brings together experts in the field, discussing cases in short ~20 minute episodes.

Join me on the podcast – whether before pre-rounding, driving into work, at the gym or anywhere you can listen to the pod – and you will surely be a NICU Grad yourself in no time!

Who are NICU Grads?

Are you taking care of NICU babies? Have you spent nights tirelessly managing sick preemies or medically complicated neonates? Are you a lifelong learner eager to have deeper understanding of the bread and butter of neonatology?

If so… YOU ARE A NICU GRAD

Like our neonatal patients who reach multiple milestones and graduate from the NICU, neonatal providers also learn from each patient encounter and graduate from the NICU with knowledge and expertise in caring for NICU Babies.

Mission

In effort to further optimize neonatal provider resources, the NICU Grad Podcast is a devoted to providing on-demand education for NICU providers.

Every two weeks, I will post a full ~20 minute episode, reviewing fundamental physiology and clinical management of various neonatal diseases.
