Justina Oldehoff, mother of two NICU babies and co-founder of Carter’s Cause Foundation shares her perspective as a NICU parent. She bravely tells her birth story and personal loss of her firstborn son Carter, who was born prematurely at 24 weeks and 2 days old as well as shares her NICU journey with her second son Aron. Specifically, Justina highlights typical struggles NICU parents experience when they experience infant loss or have a child admitted to the NICU and provides advice on how, we, NICU providers can better understand and help our current and future NICU families.
